
Dr. David Storer
Since 2020, Dr. David Storer is Research, Innovation & New Mobility Director at CLEPA, the Brussels-based European Association of Automotive Suppliers, fostering collaboration between members and relevant stakeholders for greener, smarter, safer mobility through pre-competitive Research & Innovation (R&I).
In this position, he has several roles in key Associations including acting as co-leader of Vehicle Technologies within the CCAM Partnership.
Until 2020, for over 28 years, he worked as automotive engineer and manager at CRF, the Torino-based R&I centre of FIAT/FCA (now Stellantis) and IVECO, following 8 years as trainee engineer and researcher in the aerospace & defence sector with the British Ministry of Defence (MoD).
Since 1992, he is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Member of British Institution of Mechanical Engineers (Fellow since 2022). In 1992, he was awarded Ph.D. by the University of Manchester for MoD-funded project into ‘Non-linear System Dynamics’. In 1987, he graduated with 1st-class honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton, UK.
Over the course of his career, has been involved in over 100 European R&I projects, also as coordinator.
